42 rue Bonaparte, Nice

FromagerieBonaparte

Alpine cheeses, wine & fine foods, a stone’s throw from the port of Nice.

We love good food here

A neighbourhood cheese shop that goes the extra mile

Ludovic picks his cheeses at the affineurs of Savoie and from small producers in the Southern Alps, ripens them and advises you at the counter. Around them: charcuterie, wine, butter, jams, artisan crisps and everything you need for a proper apéro.

Our cheeses

A glimpse of the counter. It changes with the seasons and new arrivals: come in and taste.

Every summer, on the road

The cheesemonger’s road trip

Ludovic visits the farms and ripening cellars, tastes, chooses, then brings the best wheels back to rue Bonaparte. Distances are counted from the shop.

Grapefruit, citron, orange and Menton lemon, sliced and dried in the shop. We tuck them into our platters for colour and a hint of bitterness.
